Bisons pick up signature win

By Matt Wilson | Filed Under Miscellaneous

We knew that Lipscomb’s basketball team had a bunch of talented sophomores. But last night we may have finally seen this group come together.

“This was an opportunity and opportunities don’t come around very often,” Lipscomb head coach Scott Sanderson said.  “We had an opportunity to beat a national storied program.  There is no question that this is the biggest win in the school history.”

The Bisons improved to 5-6 with a huge win at Indiana. Adnan Hodzic, the Bisons’ 6-9 center, led the way with 19 points. Hodzic went to North Central High in Indianapolis, where he played with former Indiana star Eric Gordon.

The once-great Hoosiers are now 5-7. Let’s just say IU basketball isn’t what it was. Indiana’s loss to Lipscomb wasn’t even mentioned on the front page of the Bloomington Herald Times’s sports web page and it was listed second on the Indiana Rivals.com page under information about a football recruit. Tough times for Hoosiers.
