Maplewood’s Stone getting noticed
By Matt Wilson | Filed Under Miscellaneous
Maplewood junior lineman James Stone is listed among Rivals.com’s 250 best players for the class of 2010.
Maplewood coach Ralph Thompson raves about Stone’s ability and he says some Division I coaches have told him that Stone’s footwork is some of the best they’ve seen. An excellent student, he lists Alabama, Duke, Louisville, North Carolina, Stanford, Tennessee and Vanderbilt as the schools he’s considering.
• If you’ve ever been to a high school football press box that looks like it was built in the time of Julius Ceasar, then take a look at this and fear for your life.
• I looked on in disbelief when I saw that Ken Griffey Jr. was named an American Public Diplomacy Envoy by the State Department the other day. Griffey has always seemed like a spoiled brat who’s never happy with anything and has never really dealt with the press well. So he’s supposed to be a diplomat?

[...] I have no clue about this kid but I think his coach is Ralph Thompson who went to Georgia. The school is one of the worst in Nashville for academics. It is getting better though. Hopefully we get another TN kid. So far they have worked out well. Maplewood’s Stone getting noticed : Nashville Ballerz [...]
I do know about “this kid” not only is he a star on the football field he is also a top student with an A average.
I looked into what you talked about in this article and I had to convince myself that you were wrong. I looked up the info and it seems you are 100% correct in your statements. Because of this, I have subscribed myself to your RSS feed. Keep up the great work here.
